w this isnt very important but it works.as soon as u get a deku stick on zelda go in the forest(not the lost woods)and stand on the fence across the shop and pull out ur deku stick and do a jump attack on the pillar while swinging the deku stick now the deku stick is shorter but has the toughness of a sword.hope u enjoy

Change a Gossip Stone a different color.
To change a Gossip Stone Red or Blue, drop a bomb next to it and wait for the bomb to blow up. Before the Gossip Stone "blasts off", smash it with the megaton hammer. If you time it just right, you can turn it blue, or if you are really good, you can smash it a split second before it blasts off and you can turn it red! You have to leave the area to turn it back to the original color.

When an adult, go to Kokiri Forest. Then, go to where the Deku Tree 
Sprout is.Behind it is the dead Deku Tree,go up the left root. You can hop 
around the whole Deku Tree! After hopping like 5 roots, you should have 
discovered two "gossip stones". 

Take out your ocarina and play the "paralude of 
light" to warp to the Temple of Time, become a kid again.Sell all the masks. 
Then you should have the "Mask of Truth". Go back to Kokiri Forest and the 
Deku Tree.The "gossip stones" are still there. 

One will say "Every Kokiri Child has to have a fairy" or something like that. The real hidden one all 
the way around the tree, says there was a boy who left the forest to save 
hyrule, just like you, but you haven't defeated Ganon or anything yet! So that 
must mean there was another boy who had the same goal as you!
