Beat Ozma:
If you think Necron is hard, then you'll never beat Ozma.He's the hardest
boss in the game! He's located at the Chocobo's Air Garden, at the eidolon
grave where the rock-looking thing is at. When you pass by it, the
"!" will
pop up. Mene warns you that it's dangerous. Then you have the choices:open
menu, choose party, ready, and quit. Ozma's at level 99, so only go when
you're really really really really ready. The best team i thought was of
Steiner, Zidane, Vivi, and Amarant. Before fighting him, equip everyone
with
armor that protects or absorbs shadow damage. Equip everyone with
auto-life,
auto-regen, auto-haste, auto-reflect, auto-potion, antibody, and clear
headed, you'll need them, trust me. And have a lot of Remedies and Ethers
ready. Equip Zidane with the Ultima Weapon and MP attack. Equip Steiner
with
the Ragnarok, if you have it( you can get it during the chocobo hot and
cold
game). Or if you have the Excalibur II, that'll help much more. I
recommend
you to have Zidane on level 90 , and the rest of them on 80, 81, 82(the
way
to get them that high is to battle as much as you can every chance you
get,
or if you're already at a high level, wait until disc 4, and battle in
Memoria as much as you can. You can raise your levels quite fast if you
have
the level up support ability equipped.).Once in battle, Ozma will be able
to
attack up to 2 times before you get a chance! That's what makes it very
hard.
He's weak against Wind and Holy attacks. But if you use Dagger or Eiko for
Holy, they won't take away as much as it seems.(to be able to attack him
physically, you'll need to finish the side-quest :" Friendly
Creatures.")If
you can attack him physically(i recommend finishing that side-quest before
engaging in battle with Ozma), attack him regularly with Zidane. If
Zidane's
on level 90 or so, he'll give Ozma about 6000 damage. Use No Mercy with
Amarant, and use him as a medic when needed.Use Steiner's shock ability
whenever you can, and use an Ether when he's low on MP.Vivi won't take as
much at first, so keep using focus. Ozma is very defensive against
elemental
attacks, so try and attack him with non-elemental ones only. When he casts
curse on you, he'll leave everyone on Mini and Darkness, so that's when
you
have to use a remedy on everyone's turn, if you're lucky, he won't do
major
damage until after you've healed your party from the status effects. He
would've cause confusion and poison if you didn't equip clear headed and
antibody. When he uses Meteor, you better act quick, it can kill some of
your
party members. When anyone dies, they'll come back to life with the
auto-life
ability. But after one time of use, the auto-life wears off. So use
Amarant's
aura to anyone who uses their auto-life. Use chakra if you want, but to
save
time, let regen do the job. Do the same when Ozma does Flare Star, that
one's pretty scary too. When he uses berserk, then you're lucky, it'll
reflect back to him, but he's guarded against it. It still helps you
because
you have a chance to do some damage. When it seems Vivi is strong enough,
bounce Flare on anyone in your party, because they all have auto-reflect
anyway.Do everything i've just told you over and over and over again. If
you
want to steal, Ozma has some pretty valuable items for you. Pumice piece,
Robe Of Lords, and some other stuff. I'm not sure about them right now.
Hopefully this will help you beat the hardest Boss in Final Fantasy IX.
And
if it has, Mene will give you the Ozma card, a strategy book for the Tetra
Master card game( i'm really not sure what the strategy book is for ), and
he'll heal your party completely. That's it, I'm done. . . .

To Get The Excalibur:
On disc four, visit Daguerreo. There will be an old man standing
somewhere in
the library. He will tell you to look out for some key item called
"magical
fingertip."
Now go to the Treno auction and don't bid until after the man says: "
i just
heard (certain amount of Gil)."
" Any More?" Then quickly bid at least 100 Gil more than the
last bid. You
will instantly get the magical fingertip! You will probably have to spend
well over 80,000 Gil on it. But it's worth it. If the auction house isn't
selling the magical fingertip at the moment, try to sell the rare items
you
purchased previously at the auction house (Doga's Artifact, Rat Tail,
Griffin's Heart, and Une's Mirror).This should make the magical fingertip
available. And after you've bought the magical fingertip, you will be able
to repurchase these items back, if you want. Now go back to Daguerreo and
talk to the same old man again. Give him the magical fingertip, and he'll
tell you useless info about his life, then he'll hand over the
"Excalibur."
This weapon isn't as strong as the Ragnarok, but it does have a valuable
ability Steiner can learn, " Climhazzard."

Use Quina's level 5 Death spell against the level 60 Grand Dragons on the
outside of Gizamaluke's Grotto for around 8,800 exp per person. Equip the
level up for even more exp.

How to Level Up quickly! Early!
Coral Rings, the first one available for letting Freya win
the Festival of the Hunt absorb the element Thunder. Grand Dragons, first
located up a vine above the two married moogles in Gizamaluke's Grotto,
use
Thundaga, a form of Thunder. However, ONE ring is not enough. Four people
in your party, four rings needed. Continue through the game until team two
(Steiner, Marcus, and Dagger) reach Treno. Use the Gate Pass to get to
Dali
and buy about six Rods from the weapon shop. Return to Treno and go to the
shop with the monsters under the floor. Buy about six (I say about six so
you can have extra materials to make other things) Lightning Rods. Go to
the
Synthesis shop in Treno and create the rings! Continue until team one
(Freya, Quina, Zidane, and Vivi) reappear take them back to Gizamaluke's
Grotto and climb the vine to the plateau and get out of the forest before
a
Galda attacks you (the bird creatures). Attach your Coral Ring accessory
if
you haven't already. Fight the Grand Dragons, it may be hard at first, but
keep your party members alive and you should be okay.

To get Zidane's best weapon in the game you need to acquire at least the
blue-ocean chocobo that can travel in all waters.{ Do not have to play
this
mini-game to beat the game but many hidden game secrets and rare weapons

be yours!} When you get the chocobo and after Terra is destroyed and can
not
enter it anymore take your chocobo and have a lot of dead-peppers. Search
in
the middle of this island by using a dead-pepper when riding your chocobo,
